First review is in for THE ARTIMUS BOX by Kas Kastner.

Vintage cars and car racing is an unsual setting. The time and scenes from the past will never be again. Downs uses strong characters, and trouble laced with facts of the past, woven with interesting bits and intrigue.

Great fun to read a book on cars that has historical racing situations behind the story. Some of the characters are based on real people. This was a period of car racing when it was truly a death defing way to make a living. It was a time when not every answer was already in some book. Gangsters and bike gangs are still with us now. The Downs character racers then and now deal with them in style.

Historical aspects of the old vintage racers and brilliant invetors bring out a great story. Mystery and car lovers will enjoy this tale.
